Donate to Support our Work
#changethenumber
In the United Kingdom 1 in 3 parents experience birth trauma*—but together, we can change that. Your donation directly funds awareness raising, education, and professional training that empowers birthing parents, equips birth professionals with trauma-informed care, and drives policy change for safer, more respectful maternity care.
By supporting the Sacred Birth Centre, you are investing in a future where birth is empowering, choices are honoured, and no one is left unheard. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue this vital work. Donate today and be part of the movement for better birth.

What needs to change
We are actively campaigning for maternity care to improve in the UK. These are the shocking statistics:
1 in 3 births in the UK are categorised as traumatic!
We are actively campaigning to change the birth experiences of women in the UK through collecting birth stories, championing holistic care, and ensuring that whatever women's birth journey they are respected and listened to.
Knowledge is power. We help parents:
1. Understand their options
2. Trust their instincts
3. Build a birth team
4. Keep resilient and flexible
5. Advocate and communicate for their needs.
*The statistic indicating that 1 in 3 births are experienced as psychologically traumatic originates from research led by Professor Susan Ayers, Professor of Maternal and Child Health at City, University of London

What we are doing
We believe that Birth is a sacred Rite of Passage for parents and their babies. It is an in-the-body, physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation experience.
Knowledge is power, and at the Sacred Birth Centre, we aim to advocate for sacred birth practices. We do this by providing holistic services to parents. We also collect birth stories, as we know that story telling is the best way to promote change.
The Sacred Birth Centre cultivates a supportive, nurturing and trauma-informed environment for parents and those involved in the birthing process.
We currently work from Goddess House in Glastonbury UK. Thanks to a generous donation we are now actively seeking our own home in Glastonbury.
