About the event
This page will provide updates and further information about the Birth Stories project exhibition which takes place from Saturday 26th September to Sunday 27th September 2026 at the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury.
The Birth Stories Project Exhibition is a culmination of the voice of Mothers from the South West (and beyond) who have shared their birth stories in a creative art forms.
‘My Birth, My Voice’ tells the Birth stories of the many in all its raw, emotional glory.
Giving birth in this day and age is deemed to be ‘just something we do’ but the profound effects that giving birth has on a woman is so underrated! For some, a natural birth is achievable and a beautiful experience. For others, birth is often medicalised and leave women in a state of trauma which is overlooked and they are sent home and expected to just get on with it!
